I’ve spent over a decade working in public relations, event production and influencer marketing working with global brands like Microsoft, Covergirl, Next and many others in the tech, fashion, beauty and hospitality space.
Throughout my time in the sparkly ‘making people want stuff’ industry, I’ve seen the power of how quickly communities can shift brand perceptions, appoint products cult status and turn into a (pretty much) free always on marketing campaign. Brands with tight-knit communities are trusted, feel exciting to be part of and are harder to stray from when competitors come into play.
The biggest community I’ve designed was Microsoft Surface’s first community program in Australia, turning Surface into a creative challenger brand to Apple and getting devices into the hands of the country’s best creative professionals. The program generated over 2M+ views in organic content each month, delivered and converted hundreds to switch to Surface through word of mouth recommendation.
